Dear debbie

by mayme   Mar 28, 2005

The last time I spoke to you,
we laughed about my future.

The last time I saw you,
you sat at the table as usual.

The last thing you spoke to me,
you said "I love you too."

The last time I touched you,
I felt cold leather.

The last time I saw your face,
the lid was being closed.

The last time my family was whole,
you were by our side.

The next time I see you,
I will rejoice at God's feet.
