Self-Portrait

by mayme   Apr 1, 2005

I look into your errant eyes,
they are insipid and tired,
the sparkle has abandon you.

You look at me with a sad face,
the glow of life is no more.
Innocent lips stitched together
by the ignorance of others.

Pain and anguish has flattened your soul,
you are pure yet exposed,
you are a stranger with my face.
