Looking through an old photo album
I see still pictures that were once full of life
Children playing and adults laughing
Animals going mad in the summers heat
Holidays and trips that were took
These scenes happened not so long ago
But now they seem like such a distance memory
I see people who have long gone from this earth
But somehow by looking at these photographs they live on
They live in the photograph where time and space cannot reach them
They will always be there for me to reach out to
Some of the faces on these pictures I do not even know
But by the look on my face we seem to be good friends
It’s strange that I cannot even remember them I wonder why
I see pets that have also gone from this earth but as I look at them I feel the love they once gave
I can also see how time has changed everyone’s appearance but deep down they are the same people I know and love
Photographs they stir up long forgotten memories
They transport you to a different time and place
I’m sure there will be many more photographs
So in this album they can fill up this empty space
*I dont really do non rhyming poems but I've tried my best, thanks for reading
You expressed the thoughts and emotions one feels when looking at photographs.and the whole idea behind them.and you did it really well. another great poem. i liked it alot..every1 can relate to it.
