Wings of Death

by «-Pale-Petals-»   Apr 7, 2005

Feeling the sand against my feet,
Listening to the oceans voice,
Watching the rays of pink and orange,
Slowly fade, as the fading sun.

Seems like just a moment is all takes,
Before the daylight dies and the night awakes,
Trying to count the endless mass of stars,
Lost in someplace deep in the back of my mind.

Faintly feeling your presence,
Filling my head with you and now I’m drowning,
Retracing through the memories,
Breathing them in like I’m taking my last breath,

Seeing your face flash before me,
On the night of your twisted fate,
Warm tears slip down my cheeks,
As my heart repeatedly breaks,

You fly with the wings of death,
And have now left this ugly world,
The thought you’ve finally found peace,
Hopefully will help my pain to slowly decease...

Wonderful imagery in this. I liked each line on it's seperate merits - Because each line held such meaning.
Just the thought of someone else escaping pain sort can make you happy.

    Well written girl.

You could probably brighten up your rhyme scheme a bit if you stayed constant, but heh, I defently love the beautiful imagery you created!~Nice work...5/5
