Not Afraid

I stand alone on the corner,
under the dark night sky.
I look up at the clouds,
hoping to die.

My life is a mess,
And there’s no-one to blame.
I stand there thinking,
how to end this game.

You looked into my eyes,
Dark as the sky,
But I’m not afraid of you
and I’m not afraid to die.

I sit on the side walk,
As people walk by.
Thinking of you,
walking so high.

How do I join you,
No-body knows.
so I turn on the car,
and get out the hose.

I sat there thinking,
Of the good times we shared.
I saw you in the distance,
But I never made it there.

You looked into my eyes,
as a prayer I did give,
but I’m not afraid of you,
And I’m not afraid to live.
