Grandad

by Gemmie Lou   Apr 9, 2005

I need you granddad,
I want you back right now,
I want you to see the person I've become.
I can talk to strangers now granddad,
the bullies can get to me no more.
I need to talk to you granddad,
I need you to help me figure it out.
I know you were ill granddad,
and it hurt you less to go,
but I'd do anything to join you granddad.
You've missed so much granddad,
my results, my first job, my first day of sixth form, becoming deputy head girl, getting accepted to all my unis.
I missed you so much on those days granddad,
you were the first person I wanted to run and tell.
Oh why did you have to leave granddad,
I need you so much.
You were my idol granddad,
my rock, you kept me sane granddad.
I am what I am today because of you,
and everytime I look into the mirror I see something I have no more,
you!
I'd do anything for one last day,
one last hour,
one last minute,
long enough to say I love you, please stay
One last hug granddad,
one last time to hold your hand.
Even just to see your face and know that your OK.
I'd love to join you granddad,
but I force myself to stay.
I know your with me granddad,
but you feel so far away.
And as I lie crying in my bed,
I hope and pray that you know i feel this way and that I think of you everyday!

I know it's long sorry but once i'd started I couldn't stop! Plz comment on this or any of the others id really appreciate it xxx
