Poetic Sea

by HOLLY ARMER   Apr 21, 2005

Staring down at this empty page
Frustration turns into silent rage

Fighting the anger, losing my mind
Swarming thoughts, making me blind

Muscles contract, feeling so tense
Writing these words, making no sense

Tear it out and throw it away
Thoughts eluding me, unable to stay

Trying hard but can't keep track
Sentences slip right through the crack

Falling to depths unknown to me
As I flounder within the poetic sea

very clever, very real. I tend to have the urge to write a poem, and if it doesnt flow straight away, i leave it and do something else. None of my poems have taken me more than 15 mins from start to finish because of this. i think everyone feels the frustration you speak of sometimes though. well done
