The Field Of Green

by The Fly   Apr 23, 2005

The fresh air and the gentle breeze,
The leaves swaying softly on the trees.
My feet in the grass,
And that flowers i pass,
Are all in the field of green.

In the field of green,
In the field of green,
I walk with you my love,
In the field of green.

Sky up ahead so pretty and blue,
And the sun going down is gorgeous too.
And the water of the sea yonder,
I step forth and wander,
Into the field of green.

In the field of green,
In the field of green,
I walk with you my love,
In the field of green.

Step slowly into the water, exhilarating yet cold,
The sun sinking into it, like a giant piece of gold.
Then the rain starts to fall,
And i hear your distant call,
Over in the field of green.

In the field of green,
In the field of green,
I come back to you love,
In the field of green.
