My Heart's Monologue

by Heather M Craig   Apr 27, 2005

The basis is of my heart speaking to another fragile heart, hoping for a true love that lasts.

Take a walk with me,
--I'll lead you along.
I'll reveal one shard at a time
as you raise your voice to my song.

I'm not a soul of serenity
as the smile may perceive.
Darkness folds around me
as my eyes may conceive.

I welcome you upon my path
but be careful along the way
because I'm tattered and torn,
so many times I've been betrayed.

But you are much different
than the rest I speculate.
I believe I trust you with every ounce
of every pump that vibrates.

Let's end this walk together
as we lay, just you and me.
And in time, we melt into one
everlasting, guiding eternity.

Heather M Craig.
