Helpless Noises

by Jacqui Armstrong   Apr 29, 2005

In the corner of this hut,
A big wood door is always shut.
No one passes in or out,
Outside there’s not a soul about.

The colour off the wall is black,
Joy is the thing this hut does lack.
The feelings are of sad and pain,
The shadow surrounds the house again.

You hear the cries the calls for help,
You hear them scream you hear them yelp.
The helpless screams the broken dreams,
It all goes quiet the sun again beams.

It replays this time each year,
The sounds so loud even deaf can hear.
The 13th day of the coldest month,
The shadows death shows triumph.

    Wow..Deep..

    What is it about?

    makes you ponder...=)

It flows well, at least mostly, and has a good rhyming scheme...

Every poem I've read of you has the same form, with the same rhyming scheme and the same amount of stanzas...

Perhaps try something different? You seem to be a good writer, so I think you can do it.

I like how your poems are short, yet deep...makes them much more interesting for me to read!
