For you i'll die

I've finally dropped the excuse,
That i couldn't carry on,
Because of who I've lost,
Because i was not strong.

I walked away from her,
And her guilt ridden face,
I tore away the memories,
That pushed me from this place.

I erased her empty words,
Her heartless "I love you's"
All the times she said "Sorry",
Doesn't matter now we're through.

I told him i was sorry,
What more is there to say,
I thought love was strong,
But ours, it went astray.

I took advantage of his love,
And left him torn apart,
Cheated with his best friend,
I completely broke his heart.

I understand I'm ignorant,
For doing it with his friend,
A night of drunken passion,
Has brought this love to its end.

Although i say it's over,
In my heart i love her so,
I never expected this to happen,
So it is time for me to go.

She left my heart in pieces,
Tightened the rope around my neck,
Cut my arms to shreds,
Now there is nothing left.

My voice is just a whisper,
My heart, a shadow on the floor,
I've had enough of loving,
I can't take this anymore.

"I did this to prove,
Love isn't all a lie,
It's a bond of two people,
So for you, tonight, I'll die"

+One of my friends got cheated on by his partner of nearly two years with his best friend. I saw a perfectly normal person lose it - Just snap. I guess i realize the power of "love". It's kind of a weird poem/story, that he helped me with.+

    I luv this poem...it's so tragic. I also like how u put it from different points of u and can still hold it together. Yes, the power of love is underestimated, but no one understands that. Maybe if certain people did, not only understanding the power but also the value, they wouldn't cheat. I'm so sorry for your friend, a broken heart will not mend fast, so maybe all he needs is time...? I dunno, can't really speak 4 him, can I? :) It's hard to lose the one your with and to lose your friend all at the same time.     So much is put into love and relationships and it's a horrible thing for something like that to happen, but every experience is a good one in the end because you take it and learn from it.

    This is so amazing, excellent, perfect and well written!!! I'm so sorry for your friend, cheating is the worse thing and especially when it's your best friend!!! I really feel his pain.....You are so right, we never know how powerful love is, it's can ruin so much!!! Great one, as always!!!
