You tear me down (I build the walls)

by mayme   May 2, 2005

You were a little late
with your sympathetic frown,
but I guess I took the bait
you made me look like a clown.

I actually thought you were a friend,
when I spoke to you with tears flowing down.
I thought you were lending a hand
I should have known you spread it through town.

We sat in the bathroom; curious people walked by,
you comforted me as a I cried.
Then you told me that convincing lie,
now I only want to hide.
