Only Light

by NK   May 3, 2005

As I starred at the starry sky last night
I wanted to hide to reduce my height
I wanted to sit there, completely alone
Six hundred kilometers from where I call home

They cam and asked me if I was OK
And because I felt fine I sent them away
But they all kept following me when I hid and ran
I hid for an hour, behind a big can

No one knew I had gone for an hour and a half
How bad they were at searching, it made me laugh
I hid in the shadows with my only friend stealth
I only had bare feet, not good for their health

The stars were the only things that gave me light
On that dark cold depressing lonely night.
