You

by mayme   May 5, 2005

I know I have blamed you,
the pain I felt so unreal.
I know once I was a ashamed
embarrassed to mention your name.

I am thankful for you everyday,
my father, my one true friend
please forgive me.

If I had to die for forgiveness of others sins,
could I do it, or run and hide.
Do I have what it takes?

I believe in you,
do you believe in me?
You gave your life for me,
could I do the same?

The answer is in your blood
that flowed like a river,
as you were mocked, beaten, and hung.

I have but one life
as you did too,
I want to go out worshiping you.

*I know this isn't very good, but I was just wondering if I am worthy of his love.*

Ms. Conner said most of it herself. Noone is worthy of God's love, yet we all are given it through the sacrifice of Christ. You read my poem and you said the last two lines touched you. That's the most valuable comment I have gotten of any poem. Remember that any inflence those words, "So let this touch He gives through me, Help you to find eternity," have on any person is the work of God. It truly is God working through men. If you ever want to talk about Christianity or anything I'd love too. There's not too many people who really do care anymore. I'm struggling right now. But I know He still loves me. And the more I touch others, it seems, the more He touches me. Thank you for your comment. I'm looking forward to reading more of your stuff.

No one is worthy of Gods love, but that is the beauty of it. God died for us. we were just sinners who hated him, yet he loved us like no other could. Think of it this way. If a perfect father had a sinful child would he still love it. Of course he would. Like one of my freinds said, "what kind of father would not care for his children...an abusive one. God is not that." If you need more info. on this e-mail me at: lizkeefe@att.net
