Through The Rain

by Katie   May 16, 2005

When the sky is gray and the rain sprinkles down.
I sit on the bench and peacefully listen to the sounds.
One by one the water drops creating a melody for all to hear.
Look to the sky, a rainbow will soon be near.

Trees shake, branches fall, the lightning strikes.
A storm found its way to my home, which everyone dislikes.
But you can’t find the sun unless you go through the rain.
There’s no good thing that comes without pain.

Just make it through the rain and climb the hill.
You’ll soon see the great sky that the sun now fills.
Embrace the moment don’t let it pass by.
Cause’ later on you’ll be wondering why.

Hold on to the swing that sways.
Your hair blowing with the gentle breeze, wanting more of that summertime craze.
Never give up, keep walking through the rain.
Or else your heart will forever be stained.
