Watchful gaze of the moon

by Gem   May 29, 2005

They say she is a loner,
Always on her own.
Just who is this delicate girl,
Who always comes and goes?

In her eyes she holds a secret,
That only time can reveal.
Until that fateful day arrives,
She'll keep her heart tightly sealed.

Every night she patiently waits,
For her true love to return.
They all say she's wasting her time,
And that she will never learn.

He left her with a promise,
That they'd be together soon.
So every night, that girl waited,
Beneath the watchful gaze of the moon.

Her eyes shine like the stars,
Her hair is ruffled by the breeze.
As she stands in a ray of moonlight,
Underneath the Popular Trees.

Then that night, she smiled,
And she disappeared from sight.
At last, her true love came back for her,
And took her with him to the light.

(I believe that nothing can part true love as i tried to say in this poem. I don't know if i got the point across. Comment/Vote and let me know what y'all think. Thank you xx)
