Little girls day

by xRachelx   May 31, 2005

Everyday she wakes up, looks in the mirror,
And spends half and hour painting on her happy face.
Eats her breakfast, then sicks it back up,
Then flushes the loo so there isn't a trace.

She walks to school pretending she cant hear those girls,
Even thought really their words hurt so bad.
As six or seven of them chant insults at her,
She doesn't let on that really shes sad.

She sits through her lessons working her hardest,
So her mummy and daddy will be pleased.
On a table all alone she works by herself,
The others stay away like she is diseased.

At lunchtime she goes behind the P.E. block,
And cries so much her eyes are bright red.
The covers her secret with alot of eye make-up,
And concentrates on smiling instead.

She spends the afternoon doing her sums,
And daydreaming of a better life somewhere.
Acting like she doesn't mind when they hurt her,
When they tease her and pull out her hair.

When she gets home after her hard day at school,
Her mummy lies, drunk, on her bed.
She slips quietly into her room across the hall,
Curls up in a corner and wishes she were dead.

She goes to her drawer and opens it,
And takes out her razor all sharpness and steel.
Drags it up and down her scarred up wrist,
Butchers herself, just to feel.

She cuts until she thinks she can bleed no more,
Until her razor has blood all over its end.
Until when her mummy calls her down for dinner,
When she says shes eaten with some non-existent friend.

At bedtime she weighs herself on the bathroom scales,
And decides she still has another stone to lose.
Then puts on her long sleeved nightdress,
And hides the secret way of coping she has used.

She gets into bed, and shouts goodnight to her parents,
Closes her eyes and switches of the light.
Waits until she knows her family are asleep,
Then weeps and howls all through the night.

When she finally sleeps, she dreams of hope,
Love and smiles and happiness.
Also dreams of suicide and escaping her life,
She cant think of a single thing she would miss.

Such is a normal day in the life of a little girl.
