Running from you

by cowgirlstar26   Jun 2, 2005

For so long I've tried to hide from you

But in my heart I always knew the truth

I've tried to forget that your all that I have

I have lingered in the darkness to try and find reassurance

When I felt I couldn't go on

you were always there keeping me strong

The lingering opaqueness that wouldn't let me go

was broken by you and I forever know

You washed away the dirt and scum

But now I loathe all I've become.

You've made me for a purpose but I still hide beneath the surface.

I grow stronger each day but what I've started doing I can't even say

My self infliction Is a horrifying addiction

You can deliver me from all evil

but all my pride has yet to yield.

You are my only hope and my only strength

As I fall Into your mercy and grace.

Please forgive me because you shed your blood so we all would be saved.

You paid the ultimate price for the sins of us all now broken, alone
before you I fall.

Very nice, but if you want to have a rhyming sequence you should try to stay with the same one, keep it consistent, loved the wording you used tthough, very nice.
