Lifes Path

by Poetically Speaking   Jun 4, 2005

There's a house atop the hill above
It's stood for sometime
Though I've never ventured towards
Black, silk curtains dance in the night
tired beams support a wind beaten porch

Tall, cumbersome trees lumber above
They've stood for sometime
enter with me my love
A sad excuse for something so devine
this house has stood a while
but has lost itself in time
distant laughter echoes still
as cobwebs and footprints show semblance of past existence; life.

Our fate has proven to follow this road,
this old house has stood still for sometime
I can't think of how far we will go
