Two Souls Intertwined

by Shawn Williams   Jun 5, 2005

As the darkness fades and the night slips away
All I can think about is you.
On those days away
I've memorized the lines of your face
How did one soul come from two?
When your gone
I can only write sad songs
I crave to feel your arms
just me and you.
After lonely nights...I awake...hallucinate
see your name written... images in the dew.
Two souls intertwined...Two eyes one sight
I see you and I growing old
They say loves blind...if so take my eyes
ours is the greatest love story ever told.
I have faith...that Gods grace sustains
when tough times make great love grow cold.
With storms clouds come rain...
pouring trials of pain
here is my hand for you to hold
Im your rock...your my soft spot
our foundation built on God's strength
I know we've fought...we've yelled and mocked
to believe in us takes great faith...
But your my angel....my heavenly gift.
I thirst for you...let me drink from your lips...
I take a sip and steal just one kiss...we burn eternal...our love is endless.

great work.. I liked the poem and the flow only one line I thought slowed down the poems pace...Im your rock...your my soft spot...our foundation built on God's strength... but the poem overall is great... very Hafizian..
