Sometimes

Sometimes life gets me down,
why must we suffer so,
the pain,the hurt,the sadness,
for a meaning we do not know.

Sure we laugh,
but we also cry,
laughter passes in the moment,
where sadness remains,
if only simply,
to spring up when we are happy,
and dampen our spirits,
once again.

Sometimes I wonder,
is laughter enough,
to dry those tears,
for now the answer is no,
I realize as i cry myself to sleep.
