Deaths Battle Field

by Jordan   Jun 14, 2005

I don’t know what to say to you
I can’t even comprehend
Why you want to leave me now
I wanted you to be with me till the end

I don’t understand why
You decided to sign up by choice
But every time I try to ask
I slowly loose my voice

Ryan I will miss you more
Than you will ever know
I tried to tell you how much you mean
But I thought it always showed

I can’t help but wonder
That when you’ll be out on the field
If you’ll be praying to God
The same as when I kneel

“Dear God can you help
My friend who has to fight
Who think that it’s his duty
To stand up for our rights

Now I’m not saying that it isn’t
A duty that belongs to some
But I don’t understand
In my home why it had to come

He means a lot to all of us
And I know he has to go
I just want you to protect him
And to let him know

That if he ever leaves us
And comes to you above
Tell him something for me
That he will always have our love”

And Ryan if you read this
We love you very much
And I never want you to leave
Because we might never again feel your touch

So please out on deaths battle field
Be as careful as can be
And when you think of doing something risky
I want you to think of me
