Journey To Love

A noble quest
to find what a man yearns
it makes him at his best
and on this journey he learns

My love drives me
the desire to share my life
and my heart set free
to end my loneliness and strife

A girl that has love
and one who does care
as kind as an angel above
it matters not if she's fair

Desire to share my soul
just sit out and have fun
hold hands as we stroll
as our threads of love are spun

Once I had found a girl
my heart set aflame
to me she meant the world
no girl was quite the same

I confessed my love
I knew it to be true
as pure as a dove
my love for her grew

she controlled my heart
I tried all I know
from her I never wished to part
from her I never wished to go

But the love was not returned
She did not love the way I did
she did not share the love I yearned
and from my feelings I hid

my love soon subsided
for it was not meant to be
my affection for her was misguided
my heart is once again free

Now my journey is not done
it is not nearly diminished
my journey for love has just begun
I hope for my quest to soon be finished
