Paradise

by Vashgunfighter   Aug 6, 2005

A boy, motionless
Sits still in the calm
Staring off in wonder
Bewildered by the beauty
All around him.
Silence is around him
But he enjoys it.
The serene feel
As the sun above
Sparkles through.
The coolness around him.
To him, it was paradise.
An array of colors
Lit up his paradise.
He never wanted to leave.
But he began to rise.
His body lifting away
From his dream world.
He re-surfaced to reality.
Head dripping wet.
Gasping for air.
“Mom you have to see
my paradise down there!”
I dove back down below
To return to my paradise.
And I still don’t wish to leave.
