I Am A Wanderer

by Vashgunfighter   Jun 17, 2005

I wander the streets ignoring life.
Ignoring all that gives me pain or strife.
I wander to begin life anew
nothing these days appears to be true.
I wander in the depth of my mind
for it is answers I wish to find
I am indeed a wanderer
not a slanderer or a squanderer
I listen to the cold night air
secretly hoping that someone is there.
For my wandering has left me alone.
I've wandered away from my home.
My wandering, however, has a cause.
though sometimes it may have flaws.
I wander through darkened night
to escape the terrible plight
that is upon this world and all within.
the light of innocence is growing dim.
My detest for this world continues to grow.
My hatred bourne out from the shadow.
From darkness I was brought.
Answers I sought.
but now I wander away.
