Sweetest desire . . .

by Hidden Meaning   Jun 23, 2005

Your words do woe and yet i do not see
can this be true
or are you entangling me
the truth to behold
the depth of love
the dearest passion and desire I have for you

yet, it this real, will you not speak to me
let me in, to touch your heart
let me feel your presence for once
i want to know, the truth of old

my heart is open to let you in,
if words are foul then do not enter,
if heart is true then please proceed,
once in love then did fall

the lies of one, a web was spun
i was trapped beneath them all
i suffocated i lost my strength
now regained slowly from pain

i want to know you, to speak to you
to hear your words to let you woe
but you are a mystery
one i must solve
but talk to me
or I'm at a loss

i know to be true but a few facts
one of which is that my heart beats fast
now i know you may never reply
but never do i lack in my desire

so on and on and on i go
to wait for an answer
from a man i may never know

*To Thomas my mysterious prince*

Ben Franklin once said – “it is easier to suppress the first desire than to satisfy all that follow it…”” I think he was right. Nice write bud – keep up the nice words

outstanding opening stanza and such a contrast with the sencond. again so many mind blowing lines, and the last stanza finishes it all off brilliantly. 5/5, no question.
