What Daddy Never Told Me

I always listened to what you had to say
I would greet you with a smile, everyday
I always picked up my toys when i was done with my games
i was always kind.. never called anybody names
i worked hard and long to be who you wanted me to be
unfortunately, my work never payed off..
for i am not that girl you see
but i never shed a tear.. because big girls don't cry
i dealt with being unloved, i let it pass me by
but i think i dealt with it, one day too long
because you never told me daddy..
what it was i did wrong..
