Beautiful Girl.

Her eyes were gems,
Sparkling in the twilight,
Her lips glowed,
Beautifully to the sight.

Her hair was silky,
Pretty and long,
Spoke with such intelligence,
And her words were strong.

Hands were delicate,
Soft and smooth.
Her hair shimmered,
As she gracefully moved.

Eyes watched her,
Every time she walked across,
Always smiling,
As if she'd never known the word "loss"

Yet this perfect person,
Did hide behind,
The mask of her sadness,
Which she kept confined.

Her beautiful smile.
Was just a mere fake.
All an act,
She forced herself to make.

For all her life,
She lived in denial,
Never noticing,
The things worth while.

Decided,
She couldn't endure another day,
Kife pressed against skin..
From herself she ran away.

The developmental pain in this piece is just so vivid and growing that I love it.

As sad as it is - it is truly a fantastic write. Indeed the sound resonance of the masquerade we all play fool to is dismal and categorically very fake. I love how you put it in gorgeous, aliterated, words. A beautiful ... yet so suddenly sad [death] of a poem. Not to say that this poem killed herself - but the beauty herself.

Hats off to you. Welcome to my Favorites.

A very intriguing poem. Starts off sweet and gentle, then goes off into depression. Nicely made.
