Fake Friends

Its truely amazing to see
Just how quickly
People i thought were my friends
Can turn their backs on me

They were all friendly at the start
But they changed in a dart
To be nasty and bitter
They were not true at heart

This act i did not expect
For them i had respect
Me being there mate
Was nothing but a defect

But one thing i had learnt
Aside from friends they weren't
I could then see
My true mates hadn't burnt
