Stalking Me

by Katrina Boblina   Jul 3, 2005

In the shadows,
deep down cold.
He watches me,
his soul now sold.

The evil in him,
I can sense.
His heart so cold,
My thoughts so tense.

Those eyes so dark,
My mind so blank.
I try to move,
My body a plank.

I break now free,
From his horrid grip.
Escaping hopefully,
Down the strip.

I try to hide,
my life at stake.
I start to weep,
running, my mistake.

A year now later,
my family thinks back.
To the time when their baby,
died in the attack.

At first I thought this was all metaphors, leading to something like the evil within yourself....then I realize, it has nothing to do with the title. =)

    You've done a splendid job, M'Dear.

    My favourite stanza:

    "The evil in him,
    I can sense.
    His heart so cold,
    My thoughts so tense."

Are you speaking of LIFE or an actual event...it could be both I guess. I like that. I was taken by the very first stanza and never lost interest. I love the way you worded it all....very unique. Another excellent write!
