Pain is something
You hope to never feel
Although its inevitable

Pain is something
That can be hard to take
Pain is something
That can cause you to break

The type of pain
Is not of note
You can't escape it
Even with a coat

I don't mean
The type you wear
I do mean
The type whom for you, they care

But them caring for you
Means you care for them
Pain if you lose that someone
So rare, a gem

Pain can hit you
When you are unaware
When your feeling down
Pain seems forever there

When you feeling good
And want pain to take a hike
It's behind you
Waiting, ready, to strike

But in the end
Pain you cannot break
