The Mirror, Part 1

by Empty Space   Jul 10, 2005

Dirty thoughts and pain,
Surrounds my mind,
As I occupy this empty space,
I slowly start to feel,
I better get some sleep...

I walk into the bathroom,
Turn on the lights,
Break the mirror,
Can't stand to look at that guy...

The guilt, the pain, the anger,
Eats me alive.
It gnaws it's way from the bottom of my heart,
And then out in the open,
Freed once again,
By the curse of the liquor.

My eyes drop to the floor,
At the shattered pieces of glass,
I broke the mirror,
Those shards look tempting...
