A bracelet so Fine

by Lithium   Jul 13, 2005

How can a bracelet so pretty and fine,
Hide a terrible secret underneath that lies,

The pure white sleeves she wears everyday,
Covering her problems of the things people say,

Restraining her urges to scream,
About lost hopes and dreams,

Boys at school how touchy they can be,
You say no but then they keep coming onto me,

The teachers you can’t ignore,
Are always at your door,

Telephone calls from people you don’t even know,
Telling your parents lies about what you do and where you go,

She has a comfort to get her through each day,
To make everything ok in her own way,

The only comfort she’s found over time,
Is what lies under her bracelet so very fine.
