Caimile

by Lyla   Jul 18, 2005

Caimile a little girl of 3
Has flies swarming around her so she can't see
She Carry's water on her head
And sleeps on a cold hard bed
Her Stomach bloated from hunger
Her little brother died of Aids
When he was only a year younger
Living in poverty every day
A way of life is what they say
But could you imagine living that way?
Even though she is far away
Remember the life that she lives day by day
And the next time you think your life sucks
Stop and Think about all your luck

I liked the truthfulness of this poem, and the way it was written, despite the deliberate rhyming scheme. I reallu like it, and hope that it helps to put peoples' lives into perspective.

WHOA! Magnificent job on this one my friend! Well worth the five I must say! Story's like these make me so sick to my stomach! I just hate to think people live that way and its funny because every time I feel down about my life about the littlest things I always find myself telling me to shut up because people have it way worst like this little girl! Great Job on this!
    Kind Regards,
