My Dark, Lost Soul

by Nefarius   Jul 25, 2005

Once more I feel out of control
Still fighting lies with dying soul
And once I knew this game called life
My fall had come I can't revive

Salvation's lost I climbed and fell
And if I'm captured time will tell
But what I did and didn't do
I still don't know, ignored the clue

I thought I know these nights in pain
Because the black sky's all the same
A thousand screams can't change this world
An endless horror has unfurled

A thoughtless stranger, silent fool
But still I am and know their rules
From dusk till dawn I played this game
And masquerade has been my name

The hand that saves you I should be
But now where are you sanity
A ballad of the absurd's this
I played a lifetime for your bliss

"I will be there" that's what I said
Into your black eyes, now you're dead
You died in peace, I live in hell
But I cannot be dead as well

A black crow had shown me your death
And stormy thoughts had hold my breath
My heart became an empty space
Not good enough to win this race

So lost yet searching, no way back
The path where daylight's running black
I chose for saving you for me
And lost my key of sanity

My dark, lost soul sees you no more
I have passed a one-way door
I failed, I lost and that is why
I'm sorry, I've to say good-bye

Forever, but forever yours
