Lost Hopes, Lost Dreams

by [п]єєснап*томι   Jul 26, 2005

At last the ray of the sun rises over the horizon,
But it's now to late to save me.
Pools of crimson can be seen throughout the valley,
The ones I care for long gone.

My vision blurred, memories of the past flashed through my mind,
The love of my life lying next to me,
Not a single breath left in her lifeless body.
The pain in my heart overwhelmed all else

It pained me to realize that there will be no tomorrow,
Tears gently dripped down my blood stained face,
I will never be able to see that smile, her smile again.
All my dreams for a future, all my hopes gone.

Darkness would soon claim me,
This is the last I'll see the sun's light,
The last I'll feel it's warmth,
I would do anything to turn back time, to change how things had been.

As I breathe with the last ounce of strength I have,
I smiled at the thought of being able to tell her,
Tell her what she meant to me, and how important she was.
I drew in my last breath, my heart filled with memories,

... my lost hopes, lost dreams.

** I just realized I wrote this in a guys point of view... wow.. teehee.. eh its not that amazing but oh well..
