I Never Got To Know You, Sister

by Kelly L   Jul 29, 2005

I never got you know you,
God took you away.
I'd have liked to meet you
And maybe I will, someday.
You were gone before I came
I never saw your face.
I heard that you were beautiful
So full of joy and grace.
My mommy says I love you
But I really don't know how.
I wonder what you would be like
If you were alive right now.
And I've made it so far
Without you by my side
Oops, I shouldn't have said that.
Mommy will start to cry.
She says you're watching over me
Guarding me with love.
I never know when you're around
cause you're an angel up above.
At least that's what Daddy says
I hope that it is true.
Maybe I can go up there
And be an angel too.
Then we can be like real sisters
And I can see your face.
But I don't know, cause in our house
There's not a single trace.
No videos saved in our attic
No pictures on the wall.
Sometimes I start to wonder
If you exist at all.
For now all I can do is dream
That I can see you someday.
It's hard to keep you in my mind
You keep fading away.
Daddy doesn't want to talk.
Mommy won't let me ask.
Why is learning about you
Such a difficult task?
You'd think my family's be OK.
We'd fit like a glove.
But my parents are nothing without my sister
Mommy's angel from above.

Very cute and very sad... I'm truly sorry if you never really knew your sister. I wonder if the two of you were twins. That wouldn't be too hard to imagine, she would be as bueatiful as her sister.. hehe. (sorry if that sort of sounds like a pick-up line, its not meant to). I'm rambiling again, another great poem, very captivating and sad. Stay strong ^_^x... Say, can you look at some of my stuff? I'm not "WOW", but I'm alright.
