Thankful

Think of life, as an opportunity
Which you must live, each day to the full
Some days you will fly
Some days you will fall

You may have a hundred years
You may get none
So surely you should be thankful
For a least getting some

If i die now
Theres so much i haven't done
Theres been many bad times
But Ive still had some fun

Many nasty people
I wish i didn't know
Many great people
I wouldn't want to let go

Dying at sixteen
Would sure be dying young
So much of the world to see
To just get shot by a gun

As i said I'm happy
But i wouldn't say I'm content
But thankful for the
Time on earth Ive spent

Thankful for the opportunity
Thankful for no one taking it away,as yet
Thankful for the joy Ive had
Thankful for the wonderful people Ive met
