Average

I was once an average child,
making peoples life's crazy and wild,
playing hide-and-seek with no one around,
talking when I wasn't supposed to make a sound,
hiding the remote control in the sofa or bed,
and making mistakes with the little brain in my head,
but then I grew from this life of childhood,
as all young children eventually should,

I am now an average boy,
trying to fill peoples life's with joy,
making people laugh with my little jokes,
curing our thirsts with a dozen cokes,
making girls smile with everything I try,
but never ever making them cry,
trying to impress people I really shouldn't,
insulting people that I normally wouldn't,
giving advice that I normally couldn't,
this part of life is perfect for me,
but I have to grow up as you'll soon see,
and when I do I hope to one day be,

An average man,doing the best I can,
trying to make one girls life perfect in every way,
trying to make it perfect each and everyday,
making hard choices I have to make,
taking hard deals I have to take,
paying the bills for the house,car and cell,
making sure my life is always doing well,
basically trying to do the best I can,
for one day I'll be an average man,
