Growing apart

We used to be so perfect..
we were the best of Friends..
but it was never meant to last
sooner or later it had too end

but i always thought that time
is what would break up apart..
i never thought that "he"..
would be the one to break my heart

i never thought you'd choose
some guy over me..
i didn't think it was a choice
at least thats how it used to be

i never thought i had worry
about him taking you..
i always thought when given the option
choosing me is what you would doo

but thats not what you did
even thought you said you would
and every time i asked you too hang out..
you always said you never could

you said you already made plans..
or gave some bullshit excuse
and then i stopped trying..
i don't really need you..

& i guess thats just how it ended
with burises but no broken hearts..
i guess with growing up..
comes growing apart...?
