My love for thee

by HansRik   Sep 4, 2005

My love for thee, is like the love that grows as flowers do in early June.
My love for thee shines like the Sun and Moons of Godly worlds.
'Tis like a newly born child, who trusts the Mother's breast.
'Tis full of human milk, of human youth and love, as well.

Yet I know not if I can trust
A Love as such, for such a Love
Can carry Pain, and S'rrow foremost.
But I believe in Love, that Love
Can carry Joy and Bliss, almost,
To every man, to every man that loves.

And yet I disbelieve that Joy can be as such,
Completely blissful, and eternal, too,
For we cannot forget the man who said:
"Joy and Charm are mere lies, and a mirage.
Futile lies that caress weaker minds,
Beware of Joy and Bliss, they have a false visage."

*This is not my best work, and some of you clearly said you got lost. This was intentional, to show how love confuses even the most adept of souls. There are various opinions on love, and we tend to go for the beautiful, short term vision that all is great, but we must never forget we could suffer if we love too much. This is merely a complement to my other work. In any case, I hope you enjoy it.*
