Children of the Devine

by Lithium   Sep 6, 2005

With these angels broken wings,
We learn how to fly,
See the good things in life,
No questions of what and why,

The past should be left behind,
It's where bad memories stay,
Not to be rediscovered,
In any way,

The crimson blood spelt,
The skin we scarred,
The brothers we lost,
And inflicted self harm,

From a young age of 6,
Being forced to believe,
In a cult so abusive,
That they must leave,

Drug overdoses and suicide,
Escaping a distorted life felt,
Are just some things these kids,
Have always dealt with,

A religion that's pure crime,
The victims really are,
The children of the Devine.

(If you watched Law and Order:SVU, thats where this idea came from.)
