Yesterday I died

Yesterday my dreams did end
Yesterday I cried
Yesterday I tried and failed
and Yesterday I died

Yesterday my soul gave up
my heart refused to beat
Yesterday I paid the price
and heavens gate I did meet

The time had come for pain to cease
for hope I could not see
The time had come to fly away,
all I wanted was to be free

Whoever said my life was perfect
has never known the true me
I live behind a wall of lies for pain they cannot see

So many expectations
standards I'm expected to meet
Test scores, quizzes, exam grades,
and G.P.A's I'm supposed to beat

I can't take it any longer
it seems that my luck ran out.
Unheard my heart is breaking, to know without a doubt,
To know my life is over.
To know I started to give up.
The truth you know as well as I...
Life is more than luck!

If only someone could have seen the tears upon my cheeks,
could have held me when I shook with fear
and listened when I wanted to speak

You have my sincere apology,
those for whom I cared and loved.
But you can know for certain
I'll be watching you from above.

Yesterday I didn't realize that nothing, would ever be the same

Yesterday I was selfish
Yesterday I ended my strife
