A Confession

by Dark Kitten   Sep 20, 2005

Stuck in a dream,
My world caves in all around,
The voice of an angel,
Is the only sound,

A hum in my ears,
As I try to make some sense,
Of all of this madness,
That has no pretense,

A glistening cloud,
Shimmering in the mist,
Shrouding my mind,
Fingers curled into fists,

All that ever was,
Has to end soon,
That is the saying right?
For it will be my own doom,

I tried to succumb,
Give in to the light,
But my eyes have adjusted,
To the solid black of night,

Confusion and disorder,
So many thoughts and memories,
Lost to always be forgotten,
In that very bleak winter breeze,

Oh angel be the death of me,
Come and take me away,
My mind has played such tricks on me,
It got me lost and left me astray,

So many vibrant lovely colors,
Blinding me of my sight,
It did not take too long to do just that,
I was already blinded by fright,

Pick a name and pick a number,
The color white would suit me best,
Because I do not deserve the pleasure of gold,
I have done so many things wrong I must confess,

Do as you will I will not fuss,
Lock me up and throw away the key,
Brand me the enemy in which I am known as,
For this surely will be the end of me,

Everything is lost it seems,
Fallen and fallen so far away from me,
I swear, did I do anything wrong?
For all my hopes and wishes were lost out at sea,

Angel tear me apart limb from limb,
Spread me throughout this earth,
Do it now ..Oh please,
How I wish I died at birth,

Shaking from head to toe,
As if this place was so cold,
I would have jumped up and yelled all my grief,
Unfortunately I am not so bold,

I found that warm sound in my head once again,
Like the coo of a dove,
Soft and sweet like honey,
My god I do not deserve this.... The words of an angel from above!

The angel acted as if I was just as worthy,
As any other person,
He spoke of great words that had entered my heart,
And I was entranced by the angels wisdom,

Indeed, you deserve a robe of plain white.
Not because of your sins my friend,
But because you are the cleanse of the world.
You are unique and earth still needs you in order to mend.

For a meal would be boring without all the spices!
