Twin Spirits

by RainbowSlider   Oct 2, 2005

One day not unlike any other,
I looked into the mirror.
I saw this old person
staring back at me.
I asked, who are you
and where did I go?
You are in here
the reflection replied.
It was like the
man in the mirror.
I was lonely
so I listened further.
Old man take a look
at yourself,
you look a lot like me.
You can be young at heart.
I really did not know
how to reply.
Old man grow up.
That made me laugh.
If I am an old man,
then why do I need
to grow up?
Haven't you heard
that you can't put
new wine in an old bottle.
I looked away
and the image was gone.
That is the trouble
with spirits,
when stop looking
at them they disappear.
