Rain Shine

by RainbowSlider   Oct 2, 2005

The temperature soars
and the heat is unending.
Silly clouds mock me
and tease me as they
dance away.
No rain from us today
as they play with me.
My body is so warm
and even hot to the touch.
No relief in site
from the ever scorching sun.
My body is clammy
and I can't stop sweating.
My hair is damp
and the sweat gets into my eyes.
I am so uncomfortable
as I work so hard
wiping the sweat out
of my burning eyes.
My anger erupts
as I send thunderbolts
from my eyes.
I piss off the clouds
and I hear them a rumbling.
Thunder I hear
softly and then more intensely.
Thunder crashes as nature
explodes matching my anger.
I shake my fist at the sky.
A few drops then more
then the floodgates open
as the clouds try to drown me.
I run dancing and twirling
as I open myself up
with my outstretched arms.
Rain, glorious, rain
soaks every fiber of my being.
My body like a sponge
that has been so dehydrated
like a magnet attracts the rain.
Like a vacuum empty
I become saturated
with the love
of my healing rain.
