I am waiting on an Angel
To come and set me free
For I have been waiting
What it'll bring to me.

Now Angel will you listen
To what I have to say
For I don't want to live
Another lonely day.

I am waiting on an Angel
To pick me up as I fall
For I don't have strength
So I will wait for you to call

Soon I will find myself
A quiet resting place
For I cannot stand
Looking at my face.

I am waiting on an Angel
One to carry me home
Hope you come soon
For I don't want to go alone.
