Still alone in the park

by Mark   Oct 8, 2005

She sits on her own
In the dark
I'm wondering why
She's in the park

On the motionless swing
She appears for an hour
Is she waiting to be rescued?
Like the girl in the tower

We spoke few words
I saw her beautiful smile
Then thought of asking
For a number to dial

Hours more, on a bench by herself
Whilst, we were having fun
Couldn't help but speculate
Why she was with no one

It was fairly late
And it was very dark
I left with my friends
With you still alone in the park
