(Broken)Hearts & Crafts

by Jamie   Oct 18, 2005

Ready to manipulate the paper
I sit down at the table
The one where I will deform
Anything willing and able

Splashed red against the canvas
Taped pain to the side
Tampered with the metal
Pushed master plans aside

Spray painted Xs on the surface
Took the wire and twisted
Sewed up the cloth to heartache
Then tore them where they coexisted

They tried to teach me neatness
So I created multiple designs
But for some uncharted reason
I couldnt color inside the lines

Tried expanding power
I dabbled with the clay
But it crumbled like my faith
Such a broken down array

They say to just believe
Take pride in what is mine
Ive creased in every direction
Folded on every dotted line

Tried a masquerade of glitter
Still couldnt fool my heart
The blood has dyed the paint
Self-destruction is now my art

***when i go back to read this now like months after i have no idea what the hell i was talking about...i think i was just trying to keep a theme...it could be about something but i think im just playing with words...
