Lost in Tragic Thoughts

by HOLLY ARMER   Oct 26, 2005

Gently swaying in this rocking chair
as lullabies echo through the air

I'm lost in tragic thoughts of you
All of my plans have fallen through

You left before you ever came
and it's slowly driving me insane

For late at night I hear you cry
awake to the silence and want to die

Just empty arms and endless tears
caught within these wretched fears

Longing for this pain to end
as I'm haunted by what should've been

Its a good poem and i think i'd have to say that stanza two was my favorite. i'm not sure about the ending stanza though, it just seems a bit lost. sorry.

P.S. feel free to trash one of my poems, lol, (no one votes for them anyway, lol)

Love this poem, the thrid stanza I feel is a bit messy though. But overall, I really like the feel to this piece, well done!
